Is this Irish Football International Stephen Ireland, in a thong, or is it a woman? Love the pink dude. Love it.

Monday, September 17th, 2007

So the Guardian today linked to what they alleged is Stephen Ireland’s Bebo page where he said: Football Is SHIT Why Did I get Stuck Doin It

Now, the Bebo profile is public and shows off loads of pics of whoever this person is.

Love this Bebo sign-in name:

Stephen Ireland

This is a better pic of the alleged Stephen, is this the real deal?

Stephen Ireland perhaps?

This here is the alleged Stephen and his GF with “alleged” Stephen sporting a thong, though some are saying they’re the legs of a woman, what you think folks?

This is the version with just “Stephen”:
Stephen Ireland in a thong. Nice ass dude.

Irish Politics Aggregator PoliticsInIreland.com updated

Monday, September 17th, 2007

My own little addition to online Irish Politics, Politics In Ireland is an aggregator that Rob built for me last year. It’s now been rebuilt from the ground up by John and covers all the current TDs once again. As well as a new design, there’s widgets so you can stick a mini version of the site on your blog sidebar for your politician, party or constituency of choice.

You can also subscribe to the site by email or RSS and there is an Irish Politics wordpress plugin too which will link to the pages of the TDs that you mention on your blog.

If you’re feeling generous, I’d love if you could link to Politics In Ireland from your own blog or give it a mention in a blog post. Ta very much.

Oh god. Too far. Million Dollar homepage, Million Dollar pubepage.

I watched the first episode of Muslim comedy Little Mosque on the Prairie. Stay away, it’s awful. The running joke is people think they’re terrorists. Haha. Not.

Love the ads that Facebook shows on the profiles of Google employees. Google should do the same for Facebook IP addresses.

Civil Service in action. In the BBC 40 procedures and 30 forms are required to be followed/completed if the police catch a thief in the act of snatching a handbag. Uhm…

Shame the All Tomorrows Parties Portishead special event is while I’m away withPaddy’s Valley.

Via BoingBoing, to market a new Dylan somethingorother, you can add your own text to his famous Subterranean Homesick Blues video. This is a Battlestar Galactica version.

Further nerd alert. Check out the Polish Vision Express ad. Notice the nerdcore messages on the chart.

Intel buys Irish gaming software company Havok

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

Well done to the people in Irish gaming software company Havok, according to Techcrunch, they’ve been snapped up by Intel. This follows the March aquisition of Irish gaming middleware company DemonWare by Activision. Well done all. Nice to see Ireland doing so well in the gaming industry.

Sounds to me like he needs to fix the disconnect between external and internal

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

So it seems that the shuffling of the deckchairs in the Green Party continues. I got a press release now saying Paul Gogarty is going for Cathaoirleach of the Green Party. Best of luck etc. What I found odd about the release though was this note at the end:

While he is best known outside the Party for his work as Education Spokesperson, as well as the development of “50 Steps to a Better Education System”, internally he is recognised equally for his work in supporting election candidates and local constituency groups and for his input into the party’s political strategy.

Shouldn’t you be recognised internally and externally for all your work? Seems odd. And did you know he has 6 toes on his left foot too? This is recognised internally.

Super Fit Man Markham does Marathon for MS

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

Markham has a nice post about running the Sydney Marathon. He seems to be in perpetual training mode for all these endurance feats. He’s hoping to raise a few quid this year for noble reasons:

On September 23 I’ll be running the Sydney marathon in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and in memory of my mum, Mary, and her unusually intense struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Head on over to his blog if you want to read more and contribute to his run.

er Bloglines, I think you might have a problem

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

Bloglines has delivered me 8000+ unread posts in my Irish feed folder alone. Bit of a hiccup there lads since I went through all my feeds about an hour ago. I still find it faster and better to use than Google Reader by the way. Google Reader feels like scrolling through treacle.

Bloglines delivered me about two weeks of posts

Mormno/Mormo: Mormons get their tops off for the ladies and men?

Friday, September 14th, 2007

Update 2: Mark Simpson links here and says just call it Mormo. He coined the words metrosexual and sporno, who am I to disagree!

Update: Andy, he of no blog address suggested this be called Mormno. We have porno, we have sporno, now we have Mormno.

There’s a bit of a brouhaha going on in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Since even Italian priests are doing calendars, it seems Mormon Missionaries are doing calendars now. These lads are getting their tops off too. Judging from the calendar it seems they’ve been hitting the gym a lot while doing their missionary work. Check out the cover:

Saucy Mormons topless phoarr

And there’s a whole online store to go with the calendar where you can buy male and female t-shirts with interesting slogans:

Mormons T-shirt

Yes, already bulk buying for Christmas presents. Should ask the next Mormons to your door if they are in the calendar or would they like to be in one. Time their quick exit speed. Or just pop on the t-shirt as you seeing them coming to the door.

Update 3: Now with Youtube video. Warning awkward video production:

Last person in Ireland (me) gets to see Arcade Fire play in Ireland this year

Friday, September 14th, 2007

It took a lot longer to sell out this time round but hooray and stuff as I finally got Arcade Fire tickets. I got four tickets. I am but one person. If anyone has spare tickets for the now second night and wants to swap for the first night, give me a shout. Might as well get to see both shows.
