Hehe. I read Hit or Miss daily and I like the mix of content on it. This post about the posters personal life got very interesting with the person he met up with replying . Least he didn’t say the guy was crap in bed.

So the plan for changing the way I live and work is working. I’ve lost 11 lbs so far in the past 4-5 weeks, I’m getting more sleep at night and my productivity at work has gone way up.

I’m after getting the book for the CompTIA Project+ exam. and I’ve looked into getting a City and Guild Certification in Technical Writing, which I’ll start next year. Further down the road I’ve been looking at the Counselling Course that the Applied Psychology Dept in UCC organise. (UCC does not deserve a link due to it having one of the most badly designed websites in the history of academia. They’re using the BLINK tag for fucks sake )

The counselling course is a weekend part-time course that starts next September. I’ve made enquiries as to how I can apply for it and what I need to do to qualify.

I want to also do a database course in work. I’ll download a Smartforce course in work on it.

Found an online colour picker which is compatible with mozilla so I’m going to use that to give this site a better colour scheme and I must do a colour scheme for a friend too.

Saw Carlitos Way yesterday. Wonderful film. Today I saw Raging Bull and that too was fantastic. Inspiring. David Bowies new album is shite. Paddy Caseys is great as is the new album by kinesis.

Sending back my Turin Brakes cd to CDWow since its not a cd at all but a cd like disc that will not play on a computer or my stereo for that matter. I was going to see them live in Dublin but they can go fuck themselves if I’m going to support them now when they won’t allow me to play the cd on my computer.

My driving test is in December. This is Driving Test: The Sequel. This time I’ll make sure nobody changes the insurance disk the day of the test.

The boys are at it again. This weblog is talking about Google IRC Bots joining quite a few channels. I liked someones comment comparing it to Carnivore. Google could quite easily be a version of Carnivore. Its indexed all available information out there and its logging every search we make, and with that famous cookie of theres its profiling you too.

Going into the realm of IRC could mean a few things. Maybe they’ll offer bots for searches, theres tonnes of them out there already but maybe they want a professional one to represent them. Maybe they are logging all urls pasted in a channel to see what fresh links are out there. Google does like to stay fresh afterall. Or maybe this will be a tie in with their Google Search Appliance – I know theres talks in Knowledge Management circles of trying out Wikis and IRC channels to share information and so if the Google Appliance logged all this information it would greatly help knowledge sharing.

Well, thats one application of it. Perhaps they have a totally different use. Time as always will tell.

I’d love to blog about work and what occurs there but with my louck I’d end up being fired. So I’ll just blog about stuff I do outside of work, like search all the job websites….
