Via Metafilter. Two FX firms worked on redoing the FX for the original Star Trek series. They were both told they can fiddle with the fx but not the story of certain scenes from an episode called “The Doomsday Machine”. This is what they did:

My So-called life. Remember this TV series? I just managed to get a loan of this on DVD from a friend. Claire Danes. Jared Leto. Teenage drinking, drug taking, sex and very natural and realistic scenarios while also throwing in some shakespearean flare to the dialog. It only lasted one season but it was a damned fine show with some great music too. Brings back a little bit of nostalgia for me. Awww.
Egyptian blogger Alaa Seif al-Islam Abd al-Fattah has been released. C’mon Yahoo! Help Represistan to jail their bloggers so that Swampy and his mates can fire up their ethanol fueled iBooks and use the powers of the blog to reach out!
But being serious, getting jailed for blogging must suck. Great for traffic though.
Damn. Rocket explodes. Made way more entertaining with dramatic music and the concerned voice-over. Still looks cool.
I mean this Hell. 100,000 visitors, well chuffed with that. Thanks to everyone who visited here and a special award goes to google for bringing so many people to mulley.net. Still no way as impressive as the million visits Gavin got.
But yeah, the movie rocked. From the creative team of the Three Colours trilogy. The little woman and her empty wine bottle showed up too.
