More blog housekeeping – Want me to add you to my link list?

According to my stats, I have over 500 people subscribed to this blog. I greatly appreciate that. If I am not already linking to your blog then please let me know and I’ll link to you. Naturally I wouldn’t mind a link back but no hassle if you don’t want to.

Instead of just adding a link, I’ll also do a 2 sentence review of your blog too. (I know I know, you must feel so loved) Kind of like the New Blogs on the Blog bits I do over on the Awards website. If you’re already on my link list, awww, you miss out. For now. πŸ™‚

  1. That was swift! Got your twitter PM, cheers. I’ve already got a link to your site in my blogroll and am happy to say that I’m one of the regular 500 you cited, although I see your feedburner link is currently closer to a daily 600 so don’t knock your stats. I think that 2 sentences will be enough to put my blog out of sight forever, please be kind. πŸ˜‰

you’re already in my super short blog roll. TIA

  4. I’m not only a fan of Irish twits, but even more so of Irish tech people! So, of course, your blog is in my Grazr-based blogroll.

My girlfriend flew to Dublin yesterday for a 5-week internship, so I’m in desperate need of some (link) love. πŸ™‚

  5. /Also raises hand πŸ™‚

  6. Damien, you are already on my list but not sure if I am on yours?

  7. Have you not blogrolled me yet, you awful man?

  8. paul says:

  14. Niall O'K says:

I’m already on your list but I wouldn’t mind that 2 line review you mentioned..!

  15. Rob says:

Well, you could always link to me. πŸ™‚

(Actually, I think you used to…)

The sudden rise you saw in subscribers, by the way, is probably down to Google having started reporting numbers of readers (http://googlereader.blogspot.com/2007/02/one-subscriber-two-subscribers-three.html); previously, everyone using Google tools to subscribe appeared as just one subscriber to FeedBurner.

  16. Damien says:

There’s definitely something odd here because of all people I should have had you in my list and I could have sworn you were there. I must have deleted a whole heap of people the last time in my spring clean when I removed some inactive blogs because looking at the current blog roll it seems quite short. Anyways, I shall restore and add again.

  17. Grandad says:

If youÒ€ℒre already on my link list, awww, you miss out. For now.

    Bugger

You could always add the missus [Herself] at http://www.grannylosttheplot.com.

I’ll try and talk her into giving you a link?

  18. Hi there Damien, I was so interested in getting a 2 line review that I put you up on my short but expanding blogroll today. Look forward to it.
    Cheers Tim.

  19. Damien says:

Richard, saw you on the telly the other day. You’re too young to be classed as an old codger.

  20. Grandad says:

saw you on the telly the other day. YouÒ€ℒre too young to be classed as an old codger

I assume you are referring to me, not Richard? [you’re getting confused again!]

Thank you for your kind comment. So the boot-polish-in-the-hair trick worked!

  21. kav says:

Damien, you’ve got me, but if you could update my link that would be great – I moved to WordPress last month. Cheers.

  22. roosta says:

Im my frankly offensive use of punctuation doesn’t scare you off, I will indeed exchange links.

  23. frankp says:

Don’t think BifSniff has ever made your blogroll or link list or whatever… mind you, we no longer have one, so no hard feelings there πŸ˜€

  26. Will says:

I’m scared of what the review might turn out to be but…

And Frank, you do have a blog, how do you think I found out about the Importance of Being Ernie.

  27. McAWilliams says:

Hmm hey Damien you had given me a fluffy link some time ago but a link on the sidebar would be lovely have linked back to you for an eternity now hehe.

  28. Deborah says:

  30. Hi Damien,
as I mentioned a little while back I’ve started a tech related blog at http://www.embeddedincork.net Not much there at the moment but I’m hoping to have some original tech articles (emphasis on embedded software) up there in the near future. If there’s any embedded engineers out there that would like to contribute they can get in touch with me. Thanks,
    Ralph

  31. Tom says:

I too have brown-nosingly got you on my blogroll, but alas without reciprocation thus far, sniff!

  32. neil says:

I’m a regular reader, and have had you on my roll since the beginning.
‘Bout time I got some appreciation around here πŸ˜‰

  33. Damien says:

  35. frankp says:

  40. poetbloggs says:

Is it too late to add my voice to the cry for love? (Link or otherwise)

  41. […] A short while ago I asked who wanted to be added to my blogroll as I was definitely lacking some essential Irish blogs and I said I might do short summaries of your blogs too. I didn’t mention whether they’d make sense, if you recall. […]

  42. Paul Power says:

    Hi Damien,

as far as I can tell you’re not linking to http://www.peerside.com, or at least if you are it’s not popping up in my referrer logs πŸ™‚

If you’re not already swamped with link requests I’d appreciate it – no worries if not.

    cheers,

    Paul

  43. Ah shur, seeing as everyone’s at it, include me too, Damien.

A link back? Yeah, no probs. It’s been there since my Blogspot days … Oh, hold on. I just copped that it isn’t on WordPress. You’ve been in my WebMon for ages but never on my site. Fixed now. Others have suffered the same fate. I need to sync things.

Oh, and good luck putting my site into two sentences. I’ve no specialism.

  44. Corkweb says:

The power of links, don’t ya love it! The Links Effect!!!

  45. liam noonan says:

    Hi Damien,

Liam here I have you on my list of influenced by. Its very short only 6 people have made the grade and you are one of them.

http://www.Irishsilicon.com is concerned with networks, telecomms and the associated research in to that area. Have been using it to keep track of some interesting developments while doing my phd and lecturing in Tipperary Institute.

Bernie pointed me towards twitter so I am setup under the id of “vpn” as I see twitter tying in more with my vpn research/projects that I am doing with my students.

    Keep up the good work.

    Liam
