iFoods.tv on Dragon’s Den

Blogger’s fav iFoods.tv are on the Dragon’s Den tonight. The very best of luck to them. Great to see Irish talent on the show. I may even break out the telly from the attic and plug in the skybox and watch it.

Here’s a Dragon. Well it could be a cow too:

    Must watch!

Better make the missus (she’ll kill me for calling her that) aware of it as well 🙂

Looks like the site is down at the moment 🙁

Traces timeout inside the digiweb network.

Watched the dragons den, they came across really well, pity they did’nt get any investment. i think they will do well without them , it might just take longer.

eeek, I’d say if they had promised to change the name of the site they would have gotten funding. ifoods.tv and ifood.tv are way too similar (both social networking food sites with videos etc…).

They got caught on brand protection 🙁

Really competent pitch by the 2 lads. Real pity they didn’t get any investors on board.
They got good advice though and I hope they took it-get the right name registered!
Even though they had a fairly low unique hit rate(in terms of site advertising) – I think it was 15,000, the dragons saw the potential of streamed video targeted at the right market
Interesting also that the dragons picked up on the fact that 40% of hits were from the US
They also has a v good front man to present the programmes.
Professionally produced video will have a significant on line presence in the coming years in my opinion

    Hi Damien,

Just wanted to say thanks for all the guidance over the last week on how to get press coverage and how best to deal with it. I don’t think we would have good half way near the amount of press without your tips and tricks of the trade, they’re priceless!

Interest has been huge since DD and hopefully it’ll stay that way, and at least now we have some skills on how to interact, correctly, with most media sources! 😉

Keep up the good work and thank again for all the help.

    Cheers,

    Sean
