Have you approached any of the Irish language organisations?
Regarding the photoblog category you would surely get something from one of the photo companies based here in Ireland, I once got a bag of disposable cameras, not that I am suggesting that for a prize, from Fuji so you never know.
Or maybe print out some of the nominees to show the calibre of entrants and approach one of the camera shops in Dublin. Even a prize for some digital printing would be cool.
