Joe Ryan from Labour has a neat but depressing feature on his blog. It shows the increase in youth unemployment in Wexford. 700 in April to 1200 this month.
I only saw this now (hey I was busy dynamiting Building 7) but this is a lovely post from Lottie.

In April Johnnie Moore and Kay Scorah will run a workshop called a “A Day of Noticing“. Was at an adhoc workshop over lunchtime Johnnie did in the Guardian Offices a while back where we were throwing imaginary balls at each other that made odd sounds. It was fun and refreshing.

I totally agree with Battelle, Twitter results are showing up all over Google of late, they’re going to have to buy for that alone, just like they bought YouTube.
Jim already did his review of the Hockey and Passion Pit concert, I think Hockey were much better live, I’d buy their album alone from that gig, not so much Passion Pit.

More like it. Dublin City Council are interacting with the public online for their development plan. They’ve directly asked people on Boards.ie for feedback. This is how you do it.
And speaking of eircom. A new website to protest them blocking the Pirate Bay has popped up. eircom here is at most an agent and it’s disappointing they are. The focus I think should be on the fact a comapny feels pressured enough to do this and if they feel it, others will. So tackle IRMA instead.
Another campaign site is caleld BlackoutIreland and I was asked to write a guest post. Filtering our sites and jailing our websites without trial means eircom and others are contributing to a Digital Guantanamo.
Bye bye The Chancer. And they left before getting sued to death. Ahead of the lawyers so!

They talked to bloggers. They told us of their new consumer electricity offering ahead of the press conference about it which is one right now. They asked us for opinions and answered every question. Genuine consumers got genuine answers in a nice relaxed atmosphere. They’re now in the electricity market with a guaranteed 10% cheaper than the ESB offering.
This is the ad which will be seen on TV soon enough.
I was seriously impressed with the transparency from a company of their size. Others will fill you in on the consumer issues they addressed.
Looks like we’re going to have a bareknuckle fight at the blog awards. Funnily this blog post makes me want to watch Westside Story. Have it on my shelf so I might as well!
