If it were true I’m sure Ivan Yeats would give a fuck that someone used to hate him and then changed their mind. I think that (and vice versa) is par for the course in politics and the media.

I dunno if being English is a huge insult though Damien!! Just pointing out that “Slugger O’Toole” is an incompetent imbecile should be enough.

@Alexia – I said it wasn’t English. Of course it can be classed as British (and Irish). In fact that is the whole ethos of the blog, to get input from both sides.
Partition didn’t make Irish people in the north English. Unionists may well be British but they are not English. Graeme McDowell and Rory McIlroy (both from the north) are currently representing Ireland in the golf World Cup and not England which has its own team.
