I never had a bebo. I have an old artist myspace account and was on blip for quite a bit, until they lost the rights...

I haven't installed an application on FB in about a year, I liked the vampire one for a bit but at the minute, FB is only useful for the untag function after drunken nights out!

"Some companies are making a good few grand from Bebo each month in Ireland. Bebo should be too."

Spam facilitation, nice!

I've "Delete my facebook profile" permanently bookmarked, I'm still just waiting for the right ad to send me over the edge... Or the right person, I guess...

Yeah, Bebo is absolutely still relevant to some - very easy to make sweeping identifications and say "god, my friends haven't used it in years - who still does?" but, all the same, nobody in my brothers form group at school has a Facebook (he's 15) because "it's for adults". For better or worse, he's right.

Bebo is highly relevant to some demographics. Look at the lack of teenagers on Facebook. A lot of teens don't like the structure and inability to play with identity that Facebook offers though some tweaks could change that.

This was announced on Friday.

http://community.brandrepublic.com/blogs/gordons_republic/archive/2009/11/13/bebo-slashed-as-part-of-aol-cuts.aspx

That PMC got the chop would be a surprise because the Irish operation has always been uber profitable. Definately no reflection on his abilities.

Will be interesting to see what happens to Bebo next. Wonder what Michael Birch is thinking right now.

PMC he'll be fine ;-)

"Bebo really needs people on the ground in Ireland if they are to do business in the country"

Bebo is a business?

"Philip from Bebo announced on his Facebook Profile that he is to leave...mention this on their Twitter"....I think this is probably the reason Bebo are dropping staff.

Bebo just isn't a sustainable networking platform, it has a certain agegroup which will use it for a short time and then drop it. I see Facebook, Twitter and MySpace as having way more loyalty and sustainability.

Or maybe it's just me.....
