Fluffy Links – Tuesday 10th February 2009

    Hey Damien,

That RTE tool is gone due to server overload just fyi… Cheers anyway!

SMIL decoder? lol Why do you need to decode a SMIL file? You can just open it in a text editor and find the rm URL. Or better still, just use FlashGet to download the RM stream directly from the SMIL. Some basic sleuthing will get you around the geolock problem. Or does this program automatically generate hash keys? Now that would be interesting! 🙂

@letsbeauty.net. Umm I’m not sure what that question actually means but it’s going well so far. We’ve got some good interest from phone/PC companies so should have plenty of videos for you to sift through.

I’ve just had a look at the letsbeauty.net site. Is this some sort of bad AI experiment!?

That picture, Hard Times on Wexford St, is Cafe Angelo! I can really believe that is gone though it is very sad… When I was a Kevin St / Aungier St DIT nipper, I used to tuck in there every now and again (obviously being a student, it wasn’t every day of the week), nice place and a great chipper… Real shame but all of Wexford Street was so quiet in the run up to Christmas, I was walking around there on Saturdays and it was like a ghost town…

I see they are trying to make a go of the old D2 / Carnival joint again, this time reincarnated as Feile, it’s pretty good… Wonder if it will last this time!
