Fluffy Links – Friday October 24th 2008

Great idea this. The Pan American Cycle Test. Cycling a LOT of miles for charity.

Nice update to Tweetrush.

An amazing photo from Phil. Phil is doing the photos for BarCamp Cork.

This got overlooked on the week that we had but Mary O’Rourke called the Gardai after getting a visit from a partner of O’Callaghan?

Did anyone in Superquinn get in trouble for this?

Zombie walks are fun but the realism and work that went into doing this amazes me. The professionalism of amateurism?

Take a closer look at your food packaging.

A different form of Open University.

Bjork and Thom Yorke. Seems it’s no great at all.

Google can do canned replies now. Interesting.

Fun atheist ads.

Even decades ago, Steve Jobs could do presentations. He’s improved, seems the business world is just getting worse when it comes to these skills.

AmeriCAN, AmeriCan’t, Ameri…

  1. The Nike track is a remix of Ennio Morricone’s Ecstasy of Gold, which is from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

And it’s on iTunes! http://icanhaz.com/ennio1 Without asterisks too.

Hola, thanks for the fluffy this morn.

The music for the Nike advert is a remix of Ennio Morricone’s Ecstasy of Gold (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQ3u3fTG70Q). Remix is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIqnupwIbSw, still looking for the name of the remixer.

I have to say I’m shocked and appalled by that Superquinn picture! The cheek of them charging that much for peanuts!!!

Can I just say… I love Fluffy Links. I never seem to be able to find enough time to surf as much as I’d like, so it’s just marvellous to get a little of the “best bits” every day – they always make me smile – well, about 99% of the time. The broccoli thing was just brilliant… Anyway, it’s nice to thank people so – thank you Damien!

  5. Some day, someone will get shot in one of those Zombie walks. We must Organise Before They Rise!

If you like that vid, here’s an earlier one from the same campaign using Promentory from Last of the Mohicans. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GX_5tzwVz3I

In case anyone’s wondering the two players featured in the fluffied ad are LaDainian Tomlinson and Troy Polamalu. The two in the one I linked are Shawn Merriman and Steve Jackson.
