Fianna Fuck You

As translated from the gob of Brian Lenihan. Anyone who disagrees with him is unpatriotic too.

    Solidarity, Reg?

  2. George says:

hehee it kept Bush in office for 8 years, maybe he’s hoping it’ll do the same for him 😉

  3. Daragh O Brien says:

    Damien… hell yea.

A ‘call to patriotic action’ can sometimes be a call to arms. My wallet would go to the A&E to get treated for the mugging and rape but it can’t afford the new charges.

total and utter clusterf*ck of a budget. and the greens brought in their bike credit AFTER I’d bought my bike for the commute from Wexford to Dublin?there’s a train used for the longest bit but I need to get too and from the stations at either end).

  4. You’re surprised? Though you have to have a perverse admiration for the sheer jockey-bollock resilience of Lenihan’s neck, which unfortunately doesn’t filter the bullshit that emanates from the orifice he communicates to the world with.

Damien, the important thing to do now, is to take that unbridled fury you’re feeling , nurse it and nurture it and keep it safe. Then, fuck the members of all the parties in the coalition – and their “independent” sell out running dogs – right back up the ass in every election until the current bunch of (literal) wasters are too old to run for office again.

This will give their currently junior colleagues time to reflect upon their actions and attitudes, and maybe, just maybe, act responsibly when, and if, they’re afforded the privilege of governing this sorry nation again.

    Gawd ‘elp us all!

  5. dahamsta says:

That’s all well and good Michael, until we get to the next election and the same old whiney wankers come out with the same old “better the devil you know” bullshit we got last time. And the time before that. And the time before that.

Shoot them all in the head, that’ll be real progress.

  6. Craig says:

As if Fine Gael and Labour in this situation would have done the budget any differently. Fianna Fáil may be “same old, same old”, but so are FG and the rest at the end of the day. Whatever coalition of shysters were in power in 2008 would have to be tough on budget day because of the economic situation.

  7. Aidan says:

We get shafted again, nice of them not to increase beer.

  8. Damien says:

@Michael Hanley Where on earth did I say I was surprised? Adam is right, hurting the clowns at the ballot by voting in other clowns does nothing.

They’re all the same and proof of that is when not one of the fuckers will give out when the Indo does their yearly FOI of TD expenses. Not one. They’re one giant cartel who only bitch when it’s not them who divvy up the goods to their supporters, whether kissing the ass of corrupt unions by the Left or bailing out property developers from the Fianna Fáil side. Meanwhile the Greens shut the fuck up over all the medical card stuff because it’s not like their supporters are poor or would need one.

@Craig I think the budget would have been different with the other two but not hugely different and I’m sure we’d still be in this financial mess because none of the parties are ever frugal when they have vested interests.

A sizable chunk of the FF parlimentary party are publicans.

  10. dahamsta says:

For the record, that’s not what I was saying. While agree that they’re all nearly as bad as each other, it is /nearly/.

Yes, FG is a mirror image to FF, and Lab are trying their best to be twattish New Lab, and Enda Kenny is a complete twat, but I’d /still/ prefer to see them holding the pursestrings right now. You know, like they do every time Fianna Fail completely fuck up the country.

    Around we go…

    adam

PS. Dear Labour. For Christmas I’d like Old Labour back please. KTNXBYE

  11. john says:

FF spawned the property boom, which has priced houses out of the reach of many. The bubble has imploded as George Lee forecast. Anyone who tried to shout stop was labelled unpatriotic. The mantra from Fianna Fail politicians was: stop talking down the economy. FF and the PDs blew up the economy. I couldent care less about politics but facts are facts.

  12. Mike says:

This time they just took, took, took!!

    Hard times ahead lads!!

  13. Alexia says:

Still digging into the Budgety goodness here, but didn’t Priestess of Doom George Lee say on Morning Ireland this morning that the Government expect at least another two fuck you Budgets given the anemic economic growth the country is experiencing? Just in time for a Giveaway ’12?

  14. Eoin says:

@Mike, yes for some but not for those whom the Celtic Badger meant insulating yourself against measures like these.

Why, I do believe I’ll be going private doctor. Why, I do believe that’ll be about 1,000euro less per year. Why, I do believe I’ll sell that other house in Leitrim that I visit once every five years.

  15. @Damien My remark concerning surprise was a rhetorical device in response to the sentiments and spirit of what you expressed in your initial blog post, and not meant to be taken as a reaction to any actual allusion or reference you made to experiencing an unexpected occurrance.

After all, the sly gombeenists who currently inhabit the Government benches in Dáil Éireann have been raising the two-fingered salute to the nation for years. Happily, Deputy Lenihan invoked patriotism yesterday, which means that I can leave you with the wise words of Samuel Johnson:

“Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.”
