essential reading for me would be Nicholas Carr, http://roughtype.com/, less concerned with social media and not that regularly updated but always a fascinating read.

Akismet marked Paul's comment as spam and I nuked the spams after a spam attack as I saw Paul's whizz by so I extracted the above from the cache. Sorry about that Paul. I'm going to change the spam filtering to try and prevent that. Donncha has advice I must follow.

Thanks Damien for the mention. Among my favourite UK marketing / advertising blogs are Dave Trott, Faris, David Taylor, Richard Huntington and Scamp. All far superior and more original than my musings. I’d recommend them all.

I'd add http://www.micropersuasion.com/ and http://www.jaffejuice.com/ from an international perspective. Womma (http://www.womma.org/) is also very useful for info on 'word of mouth' techniques.
