I'd have thought a social media consultant would know how to leave a comment on a blog without using a pseudonym.

hi damien & darragh

i totally agree but social media is a very new area for many marketers - evern web marketers find it hard to think beyond ad banners

i have quite a lot of experience now and I am writing an article which combines online marketing, social media & the long tail.

i hope it will help show how all the online marketing pieces fit together and how to involve 'most active and prolific people online' as you say.

I will send you a link to it when it is done.

All the best lads
