I’d suggest invite him, and as a backup plan have a large cardboard cut out of him on hand.

Have I Got News For You used to use a tub of lard whenever Roy Hattersly didn’t turn up for a show he’d been invited on to.

As for category… Best News/Current Affairs might be a good one for him to present.

I’m thinking he could present best blog by a journalist….
oh oh or best News/current affairs because in fairness he’s obviously keeping his finger on the pulse or maybe best sports and recreation blog after his recent glorious stint at the ’slebs on ice’ thingy..
What about special recognition blog… he is Special after all.
Okay then how about best Music blog after all he did pen (kill) Irelands best chance at Euro glory in 2007.
Oh Fuck it, get Sinéad O’Connor instead, they used to date (2 for 1 on the happy meds anyone?) and she’s way more like;y to show than Fanny.

Cheers Damien. I’m open to all suggestions for a B-side (genre etc.), and any more donations of audio clips. If anyone has a clever way of stripping the audio out of this, let me know. It’ll save me from the clunky feedback-loop approach - play & record in real time.

I haven’t mustered up the courage to have a look for the original ‘They Can’t Stop The Spring’ … yet.
