Sounds like a weekend somewhat different to all the other festivals. Are there campsites with good facilities? Are there surf boards to rent or lessons organised or is it just competitions for those already kitted out?

  24. Ems says:

Hey, does anyone know what the surf element of this festival actually entails?

  25. mark says:

as far as i know accomodation is much like when you go to the gaeltach with the ‘bean an ti’ playing the traditional opressive yet sexually repressed role. If i recall correctly this fearsome wench can be appeased with a combination of young males to service her regulary and a copy of the rte guide.

    lol!
    that can be arranged!

  43. Darren says:

Heard from locals in kilkee clare co council not happy wit security at festival… notn on website 2 confirm it tho. id say if we wana surf we head up the cost

  44. Roisin says:

The main event kicks off in the GAA pitch on Kilrush road. The surf element is invite only(surfers from around the world) high standard I imagine.

Accom is book your own ie no specific campsite avialable with your ticket. Pay extra to camp in a campsite(wherever you can find one). If anyone knows of anywhere to stay thats near all the action let me know.
