New YouTube Interface?

My first time seeing it anyway. Both the below videos now automatically suggest other videos to watch, as you watch it, compared to the old choice at the end. Very iTunes looking too the way they are displayed. Also you can copy and paste the embed code direct from the video. Even more reasons not to go to YouTube and a way to make the videos more viral again.

Noticed that on your video this morning in the fluffys. Makes youtube even more productivity-sapping I’m afraid! Surprised it took so long for an update to the embedded player; it’s been the way it is for a long time, despite the Google takeover and all. YouTube is best on content, but by most counts the technology of other video sharing sites can be better.

Here’s a video I wouldn’t have found but for the new Interface:

    Love that mirrored effect…

For great usage of it… see Cornelius – Music

Cheers for the info Damien, I noticed it earlier today and wondered what was going on.

  5. Cool. It also lets you seek ahead of the pre-loaded video now – i.e. you can start watching from half way through, without needing to wait for the first half to load. A very welcome addition.

Although I think the recommendations stay on-screen a bit too long after I’ve removed my cursor. Should be instantaneous.
