Give them time to finish putting the pieces together. This is leading up to completely bypassing Microsoft’s death-like grip on the computer industry.

Not so much ‘Web 2.0’ as Netscape 2.0.

  2. Damien says:

I hope so because GTalk was shit. Google Base is meant to be a SQL/Access killer, er right? Google homepages are woeful, their Feed reader is like it was made out of duplo bricks and GMail needs a UI upgrade.

  3. EWI says:

As MS prove, that’s not an insurmountable problem. All you need is grandiose marketing claims, and time to actually live up to same.

  4. adam says:

Google Base is meant to be a craigslist killer Damien. Have you even looked at it?

  5. It looks like good strategy Damien – they’re essentially trying to build Google Office online. Have you seen the shots of the CL2 calendar they’re building? That + rumours of a Unubtu-based OS = serious chin stroking….

I’m not going to say “Microsoft killer”, but all this free online stuff will solve the piracy problem – we won’t need Windows for basic day-to-day tasks!
