Just checked Buswells. They have one room left at €240 a night. Eh no. Anyone recommend a cheaper hotel? I didn’t realise that was the Ireland v Scotland match weekend. Lordy.

The Regency Hotel in Drumcondra is available on-line from €85 for a single room for those nights. Their website is http://www.regencyhotels.com. I stayed there recently (for only €57 midweek) and its clean and the staff are really excellent. The decor in the rooms could be updated but if you’re after clean and friendly in a good location its spot on.

You’re welcome Damien. I’ve always found it a very good website, sometimes a bit labourious to click into each hotel, but it covers a lot of good hotels and the rates are always very reasonable. Plus, I’ve never had a problem with a booking from it.

Scotland vs Ireland?! HOT. That means loads of drunken Scotsmen walking around Temple Bar and lifting up their kilts. Take my word, it’s a good night to carry a camera around with you.
