I read with interest the article about Northern Ireland having 100% Broadband coverage. Shortly we are planning a move to Eire and in the very near future broadband access would be extremely useful to the business enterprise we plan to begin. It's saddening to think the fastest growing economy in Europe is being strangled by any goverment institution. Could it be that Eirecom also feel the serious threat from voice over IP (VOIP) which is certainly threatening the bread and butter revenue streams of other major telecom companies. VOIP works and it works perfectly while enabling even the small private subscriber to call friends and family worldwide whether they are VOIP enabled or not for the cost of a local call!
