If Amazon sought out such links it would be a great way for book buyers to find quality reviews they wouldn't otherwise. I often find I don't trust some of the Amazon reviews as anyone can write them. I also remember that when bibliofemme started reviewing all the other books we read outside of bookclub, we thought we might post them on Amazon - only to discover some smallprint that says they own copyright of any reviews they publish. Not sure if that's still the case though.
Damien, you've got me tempted by bookshop.ie.

Happy new year Mr. M (Signed Neil Gaiman book still waiting for you!)

[...] : LATER: Damien Mulley suggests: If I were Amazon I’d approach people like Bookslut and ask their permission to link to them from some main book section on Amazon and offer to host them if there is a dramatic traffic increase. They should be doing the same with other maven type sites too. [...]

Yes I suppose rant may seem negative and the way I framed it too. I'm a big fan of rants though and see them as good things. I'll stick in the word enthusiastic into the post. Now if you excuse me, I have to go MSN all my friends and go "OhMyGodOhMyGodOhMyGod Jeff Jarvis commented on my blog!"

Ahem.

Rant? No, it's a list of enthusiastic suggestions from a fan.
